Sakura Finetek Japan Announces Appointment of New President
Tokyo, Japan, December 3, 2024 – Sakura Finetek Japan Co., Ltd., a leading global supplier of pathology testing equipment and materials, headquartered in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, is pleased to announce the following executive appointments, as resolved at the Board of Directors meeting held on December 2, 2024.
Kazuto Onda Appointed as President
Kazuto Onda joined the Research & Development Department of Sakura Seiki Co., Ltd., a group company, where he was involved in the planning and developing new products. In 2017, he was appointed Senior Director of the Domestic Sales Division, where he played a crucial role in expanding the business in the pathology market. He was appointed Senior Vice President in October of this year and succeeded Satoru Ishizuka as President in December.
Satoru Ishizuka Transitions to Chief Executive Advisor
Satoru Ishizuka has served as President and CEO since January 2005, leading the company for 20 years. During his tenure, he achieved significant growth and established a stable management foundation. He was instrumental in the establishment of Sakura Global Holding Co., Ltd. and the localization of Sakura Medical Science Technology (Taizhou) Co., Ltd. in China, contributing to the reorganization and governance structure of the Sakura Group. Ishizuka will now assume the role of Chief Executive Advisor (CEA) to support the new management team.
