Sakura Group Establishes Holding Company For Heightening Corporate Value By Reorganized and Optimized Business Segments

Sakura Group, including Sakura Seiki Co., Ltd. (Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan; Kenichi Matsumoto, Chairman; Michio Hayasi, President) as a center firm, establishes Sakura Global Holding Company (SGHC) on April 1, 2009.
Sakura Group is a worldwide corporate group for niche markets, composed by Sakura Seiki Group contributing to infection control in medical and industrial fields through optimum cleaning and sterilization systems and Sakura Finetek Group contributing to rapid and efficient cancer diagnosis by offering ever more automated laboratory systems for pathological diagnosis and examination.
Up to now, Sakura Group has enhanced management efficiency and corporate competitiveness by uniting or separating the group companies, from both operational and functional points of view, and improving expertise of each entity. With the establishment of SGHC this time, we are finishing the corporate strategies and setting out to heighten the corporate value of Sakura Group by making proper valuation of each business, encouraging agile management at each entity and ensuring a consistent level of each business growth.
Sakura Seiki Co., Ltd. who has functioned as a holding company so far will form part of SGHC as a complete business company and pursue deeper market penetration in Japan and further overseas advance through cooperation with Japanese and foreign companies.
